14 Valentine's Day Events In Glasgow | 2024

Valentine's Day is celebrated annually on the 14th February in many countries around the world. It's a day in which you celebrate your loved ones. Traditionally, partners but now thanks to the TV show 'Parks and Recreation' and the introduction of 'Galentine's Day', it's now also a day to celebrate friendships too.The origins of St Valentine date all the way back to the 3rd century. St Valentine was said to be a clergyman and Roman martyr. However, rather peculiarly, the city of Glasgow has a particular affiliation to St Valentine. As in 1999, the bones of St Valentine's forearm were 'rediscovered' in the Church of Blessed John Duns Scotus in the Gorbals area of Glasgow. Leading to the city being referred to as the 'City of Love'.As mentioned above Valentine's Day isn't just for couples anymore. So, on this list, I've included events for singles and groups of friends all around Glasgow, allowing you to find the perfect Valentine's event for you! This post covers Valentine's Day Events In Glasgow 2024.
